Consciousness I close my eyes and breathe deep aware of my hands and then my feet and I fell myself grow into the earth just like a tree and I tremble vibrating on another level and I know... there’s something more I close my eyes to pray and I feel the connection when I say that I am so grateful for this day because it is a gift and I feel my heart shift and I know... there’s something more So I lift my hands to the sky and I ask the universe to try... please... give me a sign Send me a lullaby And I heard... CHORUS I have come to challenge your consciousness to see if you can break these chains open your mind open you heart to feel things you cannot see and you will never be the same no you will never be the same So close your eyes and breathe deep be aware of your hands and then your feet and imagine yourself in a meadow or in a forest or on a beach It’s your choice wherever your comfortable just relax and focus on my voice...

Evolution Revolution You know I could say Whatever the hell I want Or I could shut my mouth Mama said, mama said, if it ain’t nice Then it’s a better idea to just think twice It’s your first amendment girl, but don’t wear it out It’s an acquisition to the proposition Built up of the politics and pieces of old time religion And no offense, but there’s no sense in calling it God When you call the church a building The consequence of filling it up With people willing to buy out what they’re selling Is you won’t get no Jesus at all… No, you won’t get no Jesus at all CHORUS We need an Evolution revolution For the love of love A new constitution A proclamation For emancipation From the self imposed hell Of an ego driven nation I will Reach out and touch you even when they tell me not to Because I believe when push comes to shove We all suffer from A lack of real love And I watch us do the same thing Over and over again To make a mess of it Mama said, mama said what’s the probable cause Stop beating your head against that wall It’s not about where you fell, it’s where you slipped And the problematic issue with dogmatic inquisition Is it makes you rigid to the love already given So your projections are miss-assigned and self-fulfilled So when the spell that you’ve been under crashed with a thunder You stop to look around and it makes you wonder… Why have you been running uphill? Oh and WHY do you KEEP running uphill? CHORUS Bridge: Love is patient Love is kind It does not judge It is not blind I was lost But now I see Real love Comes from me CHORUS

Gaea 04:56
Gaea I’ve never felt the world Like anybody else The path that leads to poison Could lead you to yourselft A never ending spine Of books forgotten pages Laiden with the Sages Cryptic words of time We picked out all the ways To tame the wild beast Conditioned to be favored By men who are deceased CHORUS The way we live our lives today we should be holding hands to bow our heads and pray Cuz once we figure out we shouldn’t have begun it it’s too late we’ll have done it are we too far gone? Tell me, are we too far gone Our self told sleeping lies that seperate the truth when the left forsakes the right hand both of them will lose Cuz you know if we were never here this world would still be turning she’s not dependant on us learning our lessons through her skin Our toxic field of dreams our drills, guns, bombs and axes caused a chain reaction – a game of mass extraction that she just cannot win CHORUS The way we live our lives today we should be holding hands to bow our heads and pray Cuz once we figure out we shouldn’t have begun it it’s too late we’ll have done it are we too far gone? Tell me, are we too far gone BRIDGE Universe Mother Earth Hallowed be thy name Thy kindgom come Thy will be done For causing so much pain For causing so much pain For causing – We’ve caused so much pain CHORUS The way we live our lives today we should be holding hands to bow our heads and pray Cuz once we figure out we shouldn’t have begun it it’s too late we’ll have done it are we too far gone? Tell me, are we too far gone

You Cannot Fight For Peace It seems I’m better off distracted When the world gets too conflicted When the words and all the actions Don’t seem to coincide - you see Nothing’s more contractual Then the micro of the macro The world is a reflection of intention The world is who we are inside W hen money equals power When power is control Control is taken with such force it’ll put a bullet through your soul Then we call our children bullies and we give them no excuse Your preemptive strike is called strategy but at home it’s called at home it’s called abuse CHORUS You cannot fight for peace You cannot scream for silence You cannot justify your anger by claiming to be right And you may hit your mark By destroying the whole target But if you’re trying to fight fire with fire You’ll have to watch the whole thing burn There is what works and there is what doesn’t the definition of insane is repeatedly using blunt force and giving it a different name Your planet, your people, your children You can’t see the forest for the trees those little actions you take trying to manipulate are killing all of these I don’t care where you have come from or where your allegiance lies can’t you see this world is round and a circle has a circle has no sides CHORUS You cannot fight for peace You cannot scream for silence You cannot justify your anger by claiming to be right And you may hit your mark By destroying the whole target But if you’re trying to fight fire with fire You’ll have to watch the whole thing burn BRIDGE It doesn’t have to be this way You and I both know there’s got to be a better way and I know your resistance to pain causes fear It’s not about the promise of heaven or hell it’s all about what’s happening right now You have a choice this is the point to turn this all around You cannot fight You cannot fight You cannot fight For peace CHORUS You cannot fight for peace You cannot scream for silence You cannot justify your anger by claiming to be right And you may hit your mark By destroying the whole target But if you’re trying to fight fire with fire You’ll have to watch the whole thing burn

Crash Irony of circumstance watching people wish they had something in the shape of something new I’m so tired of disdain every day I pray for rain to cleanse this city and it’s pain absolve the streets clean through ancient victims rise again in the form of modern man and stretch the patience of the hand who feel they are blameless in it’s right So take this city, take these guns black and white and old and young you’re fighting against what you’ve become Crash Seperation by six degrees suddenly is all we see as the picture unfolds impatiently after someone walks away How is it we hold on to the blinded beggar’s tamed untruth when the peace that we are crying for never saw the light of day pick it up and stroke it dear decision time is finally here now close your eyes and take a breath this is your lucid truth Everyone is heading toward the same goal on a different course and when you wake up you might find out the assassin was... you. Crash BRIDGE What happens when the sun streaked sky turns cold and the infrastructure is more delicate than bold so everything begins to unravel and fold When the leaves haven’t turned because it’s not time A winter driven summer is unabashedly unkind and you can’t fly south and you can’t rewind It’s injustice – and it hurts When the only thing we know to do is lower our heads and walk straight through because all this affirmative thinking feels like denial denial of truth denial of death denial of us denial of breath and so we’ll hold it and hold it into vengeance and we’ll walk away for fear of indifference Crash I walked outside, stood quietly listened for my sanity I recognize the chill deep in my bones I’m so tired of disdain every day I pray for rain to cleanse this city and it’s pain and it began to snow Crash

Be Impeccable With Your Words (Spoken Word) Be Impeccable with your words Words, words, words, words If we were to get technical, I guess you could say That words are just sounds emitting from our vocal chords In some communicative way… But you and I both know … that’s not the truth in it’s entirety Words are not just black on white – words are not just a language of society Words carry power. There is an intention that precedes them. Words contain an enigmatic force, even if you cannot readily perceive it. Consider this… There was a man, his words devoid of violence His message spanned time and space – he inspired men into COMPLETE silence And although I do not consider myself a Buddhist, his teachings do not evade me. No… I am not a Buddhist. But his words save my sanity on the daily. Then there was a man of Nazareth who inspired hope where none was expected He made them see beyond the Pharisees, beyond the pain that was inflicted He was a master manifester, a giver of sight, a lover of love, and bringer of light And… I do not consider myself a Christian because of what the word has become, and how that makes me feel. But I DO strive to be Christ-like… because THAT man used his words to heal. And then there was a woman who had so many words to say She could make the most calloused of men fall to their knees and pray With a voice soft and gentle – her words could bring her people home But if anyone were to ask her, she’d reply “These words are not my own.” Then there was a woman – my favorite She used her words to teach. She gave children confidence, she taught them how to sing And all of her words had a child-like glow that anyone could borrow And everyone knew she came in love, and so everyone would follow Now… this woman came, she taught, she loved, and then she left. But she left her words in song… And she made me who I am today THIS woman, was my mom But then there was this man… small in stature, round face Who inspired an entire nation to exterminate an entire race They worked them, they starved them, they were shot, they were gassed, and they were burned And this man NEVER lifted a finger to do it... Adolph Hitler ONLY used his words. Sojourner Truth – And Ain’t I a Woman… Martin Luther King – I Have a Dream…. Ask not what your country can do for you… We hold these truths to be self-evident… Namaste, Amen, So mote it be, Yes We Can I am NOT looking for a dissertation on the life and times of each individual I am not ASKING for your opinion. I am talking about the words, the words, THE WORDS And the POWER that lies within them Listen… Words can talk a man off a ledge Words can pull a woman up from the ashes Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words CAN burn like acid Men, women, and children have mamed and scarred themselves. Taken their OWN LIVES… Because they could only SEE what they had heard. So I beg of you… When communicating with another soul, or even yourself… Be impeccable with your words.

Take It Easy 05:22
Take it Easy Forget what they’ve told you Forget what they said forget all the lies and the stories that you make up in your head cuz it ain’t a question of things working out everything will unfold as it does without a doubt but you you’ve survived your life up to this point every obstacle and disappointment so don’t try to pretend that this is the end You are so much more than you give yourself credit for CHORUS Take it easy baby it’s ok everything’s a cycle and this too shall pass away So do what you can for the moment but your worrying won’t help and don’t forget to be kind to yourself Oh, don’t forget to be kind... to yourself Maybe you’re tired maybe you’re lost maybe you’re worried about the future or the past for what it’s cost but don’t you know you you have all that you need every tool required to set yourself free and ooooo if you want it, go get it – the time is now and you only take what you allow but don’t try to pretend that this is end you are so much more than you give yourself credit for CHORUS Take it easy baby it’s ok everything’s a cycle and this too shall pass away So do what you can for the moment but your worrying won’t help and don’t forget to be kind to yourself Oh, don’t forget to be kind... to yourself BRIDGE You’re pushing to hard against this storm but if there were a drought you’d be praying for rain baby don’t you k now that is what your feet are for to stand still until the storm passes by or dig a new well when the water runs dry Balance... that was you’re aiming for CHORUS Take it easy baby it’s ok everything’s a cycle and this too shall pass away So do what you can for the moment but your worrying won’t help and don’t forget to be kind to yourself Oh, don’t forget to be kind... to yourself

The Fire 04:34
The Fire I felt it comin’ on so strong Like I’d been sleepin’ way too long A voice in my head screamin’ out loud said you better move fast and you better move now Drop that baggage, leave it behind Cuz the old stuff ain’t gonna work this time No, you don’t have to take what you’ve been given All you gotta do is run with the rhythm CHORUS You got the fire You got the fire You got the fire You got the fire There’s a light inside that burns so bright It could cut right through the darkest night Gonna shed those layers and labels and lines that’s held me down, that’s kept me tied It’s time to sink or swim and I’m Gonna do one better, man – I’m gonna fly No, I don’t have to take what I’ve been given All I gotta do is run with the rhythm CHORUS I’ve got the fire I’ve got the fire I’ve got the fire I’ve got the fire BRIDGE All my artists gather round Bring your colors, bring your sounds You’ve got the fire All the drummers bring the beat Bring all the dancers to the streets You’ve got the fire Poets, Painters Magic Makers Story book writers and daydream designers People start listenin’ Cuz I’ve had a vision People start listenin’ Cuz I’ve had a vision That love love love love Love (love) Love (love) Love’s gonna rule this world Oooohhhhh CHORUS We got the fire We got the fire We got the fire We got the fire

Physician Heal Thyself I’ve been to hell and back to try to justify a cause And I’ve paid a heavy price to try to compensate the loss But if there is one thing, I am here to testify It’s the purpose in trying to live without dying inside You can’t take what you want without giving believe me, I’ve tried You’re free to make choices, but not free from consequence Do what you’ve always done, get what you always get Don’t be surprised when your echoes go unrecognized That’s intention disguised Physician – heal thyself Physician – heal thyself Physician – heal thyself Oh lord – before – you start dyin’ So tell me how it is that you feel so obliged is To stand outside my door with you faded picket signs Actions can ricochet and hit you right back where you stand And that kind of hate negates the lessons at hand If this is your idea of growth then you don’t understand ‘Cuz you’re free to make choices but not free from consequence Do what you’ve always done, get what you always get Life is affected by feelings – it’s not a demand It is not a demand Physician – heal thyself Physician – heal thyself Physician – heal thyself Oh lord – before – you start dyin’ Spoken: Let’s get honest Life’s not all platonic You live in this skin but you’re not catatonic So give what you give, take what you take, feel what you feel Then give it some space But don’t act upon all the lessons you’ve learned From the rest of the world, when THEY’VE crashed and burned I am sorry… Wait… no I’m not If there’s a sliver of hate Then I simply cannot Get behind your quote, unquote “good reasons” When reason is subjective to whomever it pleases Instead of a fight How ‘bout some self respect What is it you DO want – let’s focus on that Because you do not want the losing end of this mess Now put your scruff down… you look ridiculous Physician – heal thyself Physician – heal thyself Physician – heal thyself Oh lord – before – you start dyin’
